TOP SHELF
Mike Paulhamus

Top Shelf bass player Mike Paulhamus was born in Ogden, KS. Mike began playing bass guitar at the age of 8. By age 11 he was in
his first band and began performing at clubs shortly thereafter. Mike then became interested in learning about the recording process
and soon was spending time at a local studio. At 17 Mike recorded an entire album with New York City session guitarist Jason Hagen. He has since recorded two more albums with Jason. National recording act The Box Tops (The Letter, Cry Me A River)  asked Mike to join them for a summer tour in 1995, after seeing him play with Williamsport area band The Studebakers. The next two years found Mike on a U.S. tour with east-coast hard rockers Krackerman, with stops in Canada and Mexico. For the next four years Mike resided in New Mexico and Texas playing in bands such as The Lost Souls and The Rebels. Ultimately  Mike returned to North-Central Pennsylvania. A gifted session player, Mike has recorded with hard rock bands such as Trauma 96 , Judgement,  and Fire Brigade . Mike plays a four-string Fender Jazz bass with Lindy Fralin pickups through an Ampeg SVT Vintage Reissue tube head. Mesa Boogie 1x15 and 2x10 Diesel speaker cabs complete his great-sounding live rig.  Mike currently uses D'Addario strings. Many thanks to Mike for his patience and expertise in mixing and producing our CD.
